About Us

Meet Our Team

At Illini Hearing, hearing care is not just about technology — it’s about people. Our team of hearing specialists works closely with patients across ChampaignMahomet, and the surrounding Illinois communities to restore clearer communication and reconnect families through better hearing.

What makes Illini Hearing unique?

The practice is built around real local expertise. Founder Andy Bierbaum became one of the youngest licensed Hearing Instrument Specialists in Illinois at age 19, and he has continued serving the Champaign-Urbana area ever since. That commitment to staying local — and helping neighbours hear better — shapes the philosophy behind every appointment.

Rather than rushing through evaluations, our providers combine evidence-based hearing science with personal, relationship-focused care. Many patients return year after year because they know the person adjusting their hearing aids understands their lifestyle, family conversations, and daily listening challenges.
